SILENCE – MOUNA
Speech is silver, but silence is golden.
“Silence of the mouth” is considered the fourth principle of PSSM, after meditation, swadhyaya, and sajjana sangatya.
Every pyramid master is encouraged to become a master of Mounam—silence in the mouth.
Practice makes a person perfect. Yet, mounam is described as a middle path, where speaking happens only when absolutely necessary.
Spiritual messages may be spoken when required, but for most of the time—99% of life—silence becomes a way of peaceful living.
Nothing needs to be practiced at 100%; rather, 99% becomes the goal.
Silence is presented as a path of wisdom, restraint, and inner mastery.
