Brahmarshi Subhash Patriji

Patriji was also a trained flautist by the Padmabhushan Dr. Sripada Pinakapani.

Family, Education & Early Life

Born in the year 1947 at Shakkarnagar, Bodhan (Telangana state, India), Patriji was raised in a typical South Indian Brahmin household with four other siblings and his mother, Savitri Devi, a very compassionate individual, and father, P.V. Ramana Rao, an excellent academician.

Naturally, taking to their father’s academic delight, all the children had worked hard at their academic studies. The best of them had been Patriji’s elder brother, Dr. P.K. Venu Vinod, who did his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester during the years 1970–74. Patriji’s sister, Dr. Sudha, did an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry and almost completed her Ph.D. and, then, as a mother of two children, she completed her M.B.B.S. from Bengaluru, while his younger brother, Aarvind, left the physical body at the age of 15 due to leukaemia.

Patriji’s primary schooling was done in Shakkarnagar and he moved to Secunderabad where he attended high school and graduated with a first class in 1963. It was in the same year that Subhash met his flute guruji, Master Chandrasekharan Garu, who taught him to play the flute.

In 1966, Patriji finished his B.Sc. from Secunderabad and later that year joined Arts College, Osmania University, where for six months he studied M.A. English Literature and then joined Agriculture College at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. He completed his B.Sc.(Ag) degree in the year 1969 and in 1970, he joined the Income Tax Department as an inspector.

After working for the Department for ten months, he resigned his job and returned to Hyderabad to pursue M.Sc.(Ag) studies at Andhra Pradesh Agriculture University. All this while, until the year 1973, he regularly appeared for All India Level Competitive examinations. Using this as an opportunity to visit all the libraries in Hyderabad and fulfil his deep interest in exploring and reading.

In 1974, Subhash married Swarnamala Siriguri and was blessed with two daughters, Parinitha and Parimala.

During that time, he joined Coromandel Fertilizers Ltd. as an Assistant Sales Promotion Officer and was posted in Kurnool, where he was promoted several times within the company. It was also during these years, until 1978, that Subhash met and trained under the great doyen of Carnatic music, Padmabhushan Dr. Sripada Pinakapani ji.

Enlightenment

Life took a turning point for him in 1977 when Patriji learned about meditation and the experiences during meditation through his business colleague, Ramachenna Reddy.

On December 30, 1979, Patriji obtained the book “You Forever” by Tuesday Lobsang Rampa and while reading, he saw through the hardships that Rampa went through to put forward the truth and he knew that everything in the book was the truth.

Patriji’s enlightenment is described as JNANIC enlightenment, i.e., perfect intellectual understanding of All That Is. Unlike YOGIC enlightenment, the way Paramahansa Yogananda, Ramana Maharshi, or Buddha were enlightened; JNANIC enlightenment is the most unique in the gambit of enlightenment because while YOGIC enlightenment helps a few, JNANIC enlightenment helps the whole world.

Patriji & His Guru

“Sadananda Yogi” also known as Kurnool Swamiji, was born in Arabia, stayed in the Himalayas and toured all of India, finally coming to Kurnool in the year 1975; the same year when Patriji also went to Kurnool on account of his job posting.

On January 1, 1981, Patriji, along with two other masters, Ramachenna Reddy and Venkataratnam, visited Sadananda Yogiji for the first time. Between January 1, 1981, and May 22, 1983, Patriji’s routine in Kurnool was to bring lunch, snacks, and tea for his Guru and to listen to him and his experiences from his long life. “Swamiji” never moved out of his old lodge.

“Kurnool Swamiji” voluntarily left his body on May 22, 1983, in the presence of Subhash Patri and Dr. Sripada Pinakapani.

Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement (PSSM)

Patriji, along with spiritual friends, especially B.V. Reddy, Shri N.G. Showry, Paul Vijay Kumar, etc., established “The Kurnool Spiritual Society” during the year 1990 in Kurnool Town.

The sole mission of the society was to create intense awareness among all individuals about the science of Anapanasati Meditation and its primary role in providing physical, mental, and intellectual health and well-being to all.

In the year 1991, “Buddha Pyramid Meditation Center” was established with the help of Shri B.V. Reddy Garu, a great meditator-industrialist of Kurnool Town.

Resigning from his job at Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd. in the year 1992, Patriji dedicated himself to the service of mankind. Patriji’s dedicated efforts, since the year 1992, have resulted in hundreds of “Pyramid Spiritual Societies” being established throughout India.

In the year 1996, a second pyramid was built in Uravakonda, in Anantapur Dist., with the help of Shri Uravakonda Venkatesh Garu.

Patriji travelled extensively to every nook and corner of India, including remote villages throughout the year and gave meditational classes to individuals of all ages, education, and social strata.

Pyramid Energy

‘Pyro’ means ‘fire’ or energy and ‘Amid’ means ‘centre’ or within; hence, a pyramid is a device with energy at its centre. Pyramids were, since ancient times, utilized as sacred places and as an instrument of initiation into altered and higher states of consciousness through the mechanism of conscious out-of-body experiences. The fact that a geometric design collects and radiates energy was known to ancient Egyptians more than ten thousand years ago. They utilized this concept when they built their pyramids.

Pyramids are storehouses of energy drawn from the universe. The power of a pyramid built on four faces with an accurate or ‘golden angle of inclination’ at 51° 51′, obtained through a blending of the radiated cosmic energy with that of the gravitational force of the earth, makes them the most stable structure and wonderful energy places on Earth.

Meditation done inside a pyramid, or underneath a pyramid, is called Pyramid Meditation. Many people experience feelings ranging from calmness to extreme euphoria during their meditation sessions inside the pyramids. Most people who have experimented with Pyramid Meditation describe themselves as experiencing total relaxation of their body, followed by the shutting out of unnecessary external stimuli and irrelevant thoughts, and finally achieving an altered state of consciousness which allows them to concentrate on deeper inner levels.

Pyramids provide highly effective high-energy environments for beginners of meditation. Pyramids help to reduce stress and tension in the physical body.
