SILENCE – MOUNA

Speech is an art and speech is also a science. Likewise, silence—Mouna—is both an art and a science.

Every art must be learned and practiced. Every science must also be learned, because science becomes a source of technology for growth and maturity.

Silence is described as a great spiritual art and a great spiritual science.

Examples such as Ramana Maharshi and Avatar Meher Baba are remembered as symbols of silence.

Silence means consciously refraining from talking. Speaking becomes a choice.

Through silence, energy levels rise. Silence conserves both body energy and mind energy.

When we practice silence, we naturally become better listeners—and eventually, the best possible listeners.
