LEARNING TO LISTEN

When you learn, you earn. In learning—or earning—you first need an ear.

Training the ear becomes the science of listening.

Listening is the way of learning. Without listening, there is no learning. A little listening creates a little learning, while a greater amount of listening creates a greater amount of learning.

Learning is directly proportional to listening.

Learning to listen calls for tremendous amounts of:

Patience

Enthusiasm

Desire for growth

Listening to spirituality is called “Shravana.”

Shravana becomes the hallmark of a student dedicated to spirituality. The chapter of listening becomes the chapter of discipleship.

The message is simple: Be a student of every master—listen to every master.
